We have a few great training programs from Coach Matt Ebersole that are designed to help get you ready to run at your desired pace across the finish line.

Beyond Monumental Training Plans by Coach Matt Ebersole

Coach Matt Ebersole has worked with thousands of runners of all abilities and aspirations to help them run their first or best half and full marathons, win the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, qualify for the Boston Marathon, and qualify for the Olympic Trials. Matt’s coaching can help you get faster, pursue new challenges, or simply have more fun running.

Free Training Plans

As an added perk to our early 2021 registrants, we’re pleased to provide exclusive access to free training plans courtesy of the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon.

Marathon participants registered by 11:59 p.m. ET on July 4, 2021, will get access to the free 18-week training plans on July 5.

Half Marathon participants registered by 11:59 p.m. ET on August 8, 2021, will get access to the free 13-week training plans on August 9.

Are you ready to step up your training? Want some extra guidance as you set off to take on a full or half marathon?

Our Marathon and Half Marathon PERSONAL BEST Training Plans include:

  • Scientifically sound and performance-proven workouts created by Coach Ebersole
  • TrainingPeaks software as the interface for workouts
  • Weekly videos posted to help explain the upcoming training week
  • Access to additional videos addressing broader training and racing issues with deeper explanations

The 18-week MARATHON PERSONAL BEST TRAINING PLAN is $40 and kicks off in early July, but you can join at any time.

The 13-week HALF MARATHON PERSONAL BEST TRAINING PLAN is $30 and kicks off in early August, but you can join at any time.

Personal Best Training

Coach Matt Ebersole founded Personal Best Training in 1991 and has worked with more than 7,000 runners of all abilities and aspirations. Since 2013, Matt has been the Elite Athlete and Pace Team Coordinator for the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon.

If you like the free plans but would like to have a plan customized to fit your current fitness level, goals, race schedule, and time commitment, Matt can send you a Runner Profile form for all the needed information to write your plan.

Do you have more questions and wish to consult Matt about your training? This is available by appointment for $80 an hour.

If you’re looking for the most individualized and ongoing personal coaching option, private coaching packages start at just $300 for 3 months.
