Follow your favorite runners and walkers with the official CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon app!

Available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the app allows you to search for participants by name or bib number, track their progress through timing checkpoints along the course, and access helpful race weekend information.

Tracking updates are based on timing checkpoints rather than live GPS locations, so updates may be delayed. We recommend downloading the app before race day!

Please note: Participant information and bib numbers will be uploaded to the app by Nov. 4. Any subsequent registration changes may not be immediately reflected in the app.

The Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon, & 5K is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026.

Registration opens for a limited time during Race Weekend – November 5-8, 2026 – and will close after 11:59 PM ET on Sunday, November 8.

As the clock counts down, get ready to secure your spot! Registration reopens at the stroke of midnight ET on New Year’s Eve — exactly 12:00 AM ET on January 1, 2027 (the moment New Year’s Eve becomes New Year’s Day). The first 1,000 participants to register will lock in the lowest pricing before rates increase.

Beyond Monumental is honored to offer a discount to active U.S. Military members and their immediate family members, U.S. Military veterans and their immediate family members, and active and retired first responders (law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, and emergency management officials) and their immediate family members.

Qualified individuals can receive a 10 percent (10%) discount off the price at the time of registration.

To receive the discount, please email a copy of your or your immediate family member’s military or work photo ID or DD214 to INFO@BEYONDMONUMENTAL.ORG before completing your registration. Unfortunately, we’re unable to apply discounts retroactively to registrations that have already been completed.

All in-person distances for the 2026 CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon, & 5K are officially sold out. Distance changes are no longer available, and we do not anticipate additional spots becoming available.

Each race distance has its own participant capacity, with dedicated resources, course support, and operational plans designed around those limits. A registration is specific to your race distance, not simply a spot at the starting line. A Marathon registration does not provide entry into the Half Marathon or 5K, and vice versa.

Can I run a different distance than the one I’m registered for?

No. All participants must complete the distance associated with their official registration and bib number. Running a different distance without an approved change is a violation of event policies and will result in disqualification. Participants may also be ineligible for official results, finisher awards, and future Beyond Monumental events.

Want to change to the Marathon in a Month (Virtual)?

Please email our team at info@beyondmonumental.org to inquire about switching to the virtual event.

Deferrals to the 2027 Event were available with documentation of injury, pregnancy, postpartum needs, or military deployment. The deadline to request a deferral and submit supporting documentation was Friday, September 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET. The deferral period for the 2026 Event is now closed.

We do not extend deferrals beyond one year, except for qualifying pregnancy and postpartum deferrals, which may be extended for up to two years with proper documentation. To remain fair and consistent for all participants, we are unable to accept new deferral requests after the published deadline.

Participants may also choose to purchase third-party refund protection at the time of registration. Please refer to the refund protection provider’s terms and conditions for applicable refund situations — including certain injury-related refunds that may extend beyond Beyond Monumental’s standard deferral deadline. To submit a claim for the purchased refundable registration option, please go to your BEYOND MONUMENTAL PARTICIPANT ACCOUNT or your registration confirmation email. If this third party refund protection denies your claim, we cannot offer you a refund but may still be able to honor a deferral if it falls under our offering and deadline.

If you need or would like additional medical support or information, please submit the Fast Track to Care form to be connected directly to the IU Health team, the Official Medical Provider of the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. An IU Health clinical team member will follow up within two business days upon submission.

The deadline to transfer a 2026 registration was 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, September 25, 2026. The transfer period is now closed, and no additional registration transfers will be permitted.

Registrations and participant bibs may not be given, exchanged, sold, or transferred to another person outside of the official Beyond Monumental transfer process. Participating with someone else’s bib will result in disqualification and no official finish time and may impact eligibility for future Beyond Monumental events.

Please be cautious of registration scams. We have received reports of individuals on Facebook and other social platforms claiming to sell or transfer registrations. With the official transfer deadline now passed, there is no legitimate way to purchase or receive a transferred 2026 registration from another participant.

Do not send money or personal information to someone claiming they can transfer or sell you an entry. If you have any questions, please email info@beyondmonumental.org or send us a direct message on social media @IndyMonumental.

Log in to your BEYOND MONUMENTAL PARTICIPANT ACCOUNT to update your information. Email our team at INFO@BEYONDMONUMENTAL.ORG with questions or if you need help.

In order to accommodate our participants who are breastfeeding, the Indiana Convention Center (ICC) maintains a lactation room for nursing mothers. The ICC is located one block south of the Start/Finish Line areas on Maryland Street.

The Nursing Mother Station is located in the Women’s Restroom on the first floor of the Convention Center across from the Security Dispatch and First Aid Offices along the Crossroad Corridor.

The on-site lactation room provides privacy and may be accessed at any time. Each private area inside has a chair, electrical outlet, dimmable light and side table.

Participants will also have access to Pre-Race Warm Up Area in the Expo Hall, starting at 6 am.

The time limit is 7 hours for the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. The course will close on a rolling schedule, with the finish line closing at 3:30 p.m. Marathon runners must maintain a minimum pace of 16:00 per mile to finish ahead of the course closure. Marathon participants must reach the Marathon/Half Marathon course split (between miles 7 & 8) by 10:25 a.m. to continue the race.

Half Marathon runners must maintain a minimum pace of 16:00 per mile for the first ten (10) miles to finish ahead of course closure.

Continuing on the course after course closure is at your own risk. You will be asked by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department to move off the streets to allow for vehicle traffic. No times are recorded after 3:30 p.m. for either the marathon or half marathon.

You may not receive full on-course support from aid stations and traffic safety personnel and you may not be allowed to complete the full race distance. Finisher medals will be awarded only to those finishing within the specified time limit.

The CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and Half Marathon will use a wave start. What does a wave start mean?

– The race will have multiple start times.
– The Marathon and Half Marathon will be broken into separate “waves” of participants, based on the expected finish times provided during registration.
– Participants will line up in their pre-assigned wave as indicated on their race bib. Participants may move back to a slower wave, but will not be allowed to move up to a faster wave on Race Day.
– The event is chip timed so your official time will remain unaffected.

Less congestion in the early miles, at water stops, and throughout the course may result in faster finish times and a better race overall experience.

Please reach out to INFO@BEYONDMONUMENTAL.ORG with any questions.

We request an estimated finish time from each participant during registration to create the best possible race experience for everyone. This helps us assign participants to the most appropriate wave, grouped with a pacer and others of similar pace.

If you submitted a race result link as verification, it must be from an event completed after January 1, 2025 for it to be valid and can be any race distance. Wave assignments can be found in your BEYOND MONUMENTAL PARTICIPANT ACCOUNT. The deadline to update your estimated finish time or change your results verification link is 11:59 PM September 25, 2026.

Wave letters and pace ranges may vary each year based on total participants and overall pace distribution. If you’d like to change your assigned wave, you can visit the Wave Change Station at the Monumental Health & Fitness Expo and Packet Pickup (Nov 5-6, 2026). Wave changes and final assignments are subject to availability and at the discretion of our team.
