Indianapolis has become a world-class event destination in part because of community engagement and support through volunteerism and activations. Sign up to be a part of the 2024 CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon – one of the largest marathons in the U.S.!

VOLUNTEER

Did you know that it takes nearly 2,000 volunteers to host the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and Monumental Health & Fitness Expo? This is a great opportunity for neighborhood associations, students who need volunteer hours for school, or anyone in the community who wants to get out in support of our mission.

WE HAVE VOLUNTEER ROLES AND SHIFTS FOR EVERYONE!

– Monumental Health & Fitness Expo on Thursday, November 7, and Friday, November 8
– Race Day on Saturday, November 9

Are you an individual volunteer or part of a smaller group? You can sign up to volunteer on your own (it’s a great way to meet people who share similar interests!). You and your family & friends can also sign up as individuals and select the same roles and shifts, subject to availability.

ACTIVATE

We’re looking for individuals or groups of musicians, entertainers, roving performers, and cheer groups who are excited to motivate and encourage race participants as they navigate through our neighborhoods. Groups will be designated a performance area along our courses. This is a great opportunity for cheer squads, dance groups that can provide their own music, bands – marching bands, pep bands, rock bands, drum corps, etc., and more! SUPPORT & CELEBRATE

Our participants run through a number of Indy neighborhoods as they challenge themselves to complete their races. If you live on or near the course, we encourage you to rally your neighbors to:

– Get loud: cheer, clap, and play music
– Sign up to host a cheer station along the course
– Plan neighborhood-themed porch and yard/lawn parties
– Make signs to support and encourage the participants
– Surprise the participants with your creativity and neighborhood spirit! 

PARTICIPATE

The CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon is one of the 15 largest marathons in the U.S. and is nationally recognized by Runners’ World as one of “Ten Great Marathons for First-Timers”. Come and be a part of the action!
