HOW MUCH DOES REGISTRATION FOR THE VIRTUAL EVENT COST?

WHAT IF I ALREADY REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT WHEN IT WASN’T VIRTUAL AND I NEED TO MODIFY MY REGISTRATION?

Participants that registered prior to July 15th can modify their existing registration using the link below. Previously registered participants have the options to switch to virtual, defer to 2021, donate their entry, or request a refund. You will need your confirmation code from your original registration: 

The deadline to modify your registration is August 4, 2020.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY RACE PACKET?

Your race day packet will be mailed to the address listed on your registration. Packets will be mailed out in November.

WHAT DOES THIS EVENT SUPPORT?

Beyond Monumental is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Proceeds from the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K will support local public education centered around health and wellness. You can find more information about our beneficiaries here!

WHAT IS THE COMPETITION WINDOW TO COMPLETE MY DISTANCE?

The competition window for participants to complete their distance is November 1st – 30th.

WHAT IS THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT MY RESULTS?

We will be accepting results until November 30, 2020.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY RESULTS?

You will submit your results online using your name, email, and original confirmation code (this can be found in your registration confirmation email).

We will publish a link to the results submission form prior to the opening of the competition window.

WILL THERE BE OFFICIAL RESULTS?

Results will be posted on MonumentalMarathon.com. 2020 results will not be eligible for course or age-group records.

WILL MY TIME QUALIFY ME FOR THE BOSTON MARATHON?

No, because there is no official timing for a virtual event, your time will not count as a Boston Marathon qualification.

WILL THERE BE AWARDS?

Yes! But because this is a self-timed event, no time-based awards will be given. However, we will be giving out awards and prizes through social media contests and by randomly selecting people who submit results – stay tuned for more details!

WILL YOU BE CONTINUING THE 4-YEAR MEDAL SERIES?

We have suspended the 4-Year Medal Series for 2020 that began in 2018. If you ran in 2018 and 2019, you will be able to get the next medal in the series in 2021.

AM I STILL ELIGIBLE FOR INDYTHON?

Yes! INDYTHON Participants who complete either or both of their INDYTHON events virtually will complete a “virtual INDYTHON”. You will be included in virtual INDYTON results and receive your INDYTHON award after submitting results for both races.

INDYTHON packages will be mailed after the November competition window.

WHAT IF I ORDERED PRE-PURCHASE MERCHANDISE?

We will mail the following pre-purchase items to the address listed on your registration in November. Please note, they will not be in your official race packet. They will be shipped separately.

If you purchased the following add-ons prior to our virtual conversion on July 14, 2020, we will cancel your order and issue you a refund. We will not be shipping these items or providing the services for our 2020 virtual race:

CAN I STILL GET MY MEDAL ENGRAVED?

You can order your Etag directly with our medal engraving partner, PR Medal Engravers once you complete your virtual race!

DO I STILL RECEIVE POINTS FOR MY APEX MONUMENTAL CHALLENGE TEAM?

Yes, virtual participants will still earn points towards their company’s total in the Apex Monumental Challenge.

WHAT RULES AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS DO YOU RECCOMEND?

Virtual Safety Tips

  • Please be aware of your surroundings, use running trails or sidewalks if possible, use crosswalks when crossing roads, and obey traffic laws as you are not participating on a closed course.
  • Carry your ID with you in case of emergency.
  • Notify someone of the vicinity of where you will complete the virtual Monumental Mile as well as when you start and finish.
  • Check the weather for the time you plan on completing your virtual mile. You have November 1 – 30 to finish your virtual run – reschedule if weather conditions are unsafe.
  • Wear bright or reflective clothing in low-visibility situations.
  • Use common sense and listen to your body. Do not attempt to complete your race that day if you’re feeling ill or experience an injury.
  • Thoroughly wash your hands upon returning home.
  • If listening to music, manage the volume at a level that allows you the ability to hear oncoming traffic and other hazards – consider participating with one ear bud in to increase awareness of your surroundings.
  • If you’re experiencing an emergency during your virtual mile, call 911.
  • In addition, follow guidance from government officials on social distancing and the CDC’s recommended steps to protecting yourself and others during a COVID-19 outbreak.

I ALREADY BOOKED A HOTEL ROOM IN THE OFFICIAL ROOM BLOCK FOR THE 2020 RACE. HOW CAN I CANCEL?

We partner with Visit Indy for our hotel block. The hotel you booked with via this block, will not have access to your reservation. Visit Indy will be automatically cancelling all reservations in our official room block. You do not have to contact them to request to cancel.

WHAT IS THE REGISTRATION CUTOFF TO HAVE MY NAME PRINTED ON THE COMMEMORATIVE POSTER?

You must be registered by 11:59:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 to have your name included on the digital-only CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon Commemorative Poster.

WHAT IF I ENTERED THE WRONG INFORMATION WHEN I REGISTERED OR I WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE SOMETHING ON MY REGISTRATION?

DO YOU OFFER A MILITARY DISCOUNT?

To honor those who serve to protect our freedom, CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon is proud to offer US Military members, veterans and their families, 10% off the participant registration price. To receive the discount, email a copy of your picture Military ID or a copy of your DD214. To email, click here and attach your document. We will then contact you with the promotional code to use when registering.

I ALREADY PURCHASED PARKING THROUGH SPOTHERO, THE OFFICIAL PARKING PARTNER FOR THE 2020 RACE. WILL I BE REFUNDED?

Yes, anyone that booked parking for the event will have parking canceled and refunded to their payment source for them. SpotHero has an automated process where SpotHero will cancel all passes the month prior to the start of their reservation; passes will be canceled in October. If customers want to cancel sooner, they can do so themselves by canceling through their SpotHero account or by contacting the SpotHero customer service team.
