REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION

Registration fees for 2011:

Register before March 1, 2011, and previous Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and Half Marathon registrants will receive a $5 discount on their registration fee!

Online registration closes at 8:00 pm Wednesday November 2, 2011.

There is a 6.5% + 50 cent service fee for online registration.

There are NO Refunds allowed. We do have a transfer policy that allows you to transfer your bib to another person. The fee for a transfer is $20. The new person using your bib must submit a completed entry form and payment to the Monumental Marathon (mail or fax). It is important to include a short note with the entry explaining that it is a transfer.

Start Times

Opening Ceremonies 7:30 - 7:45 a.m.
Wheelchair Start 7:58 a.m.
Marathon and Half-Marathon Start 8:00 a.m.
5K Start 8:20 a.m.

 

All marathon participants will be required to maintain a 15 minute per mile pace.

Half-marathoners will be required to maintain a 15 minute per mile pace for the first 7 miles. The last 5 miles can be at much slower pace and still beat the course closing time of 6½ hours (2:30 p.m.)

 

Reunion Area

You can meet on the west side of the Indiana State Capitol on Robert D. Orr Drive after your athlete finishes the race.

 

Pace Team

We will provide pacers to lead participants to the following goal finish times: 3:10 (7:15/mile), 3:20 (7:38/mile), 3:30 (8:01/mile), 3:40 (8:24/mile), 3:45 (8:35/mile), 3:50 (8:47/mile), 4:00 (9:10/mile), 4:15 (9:44/mile), 4:30 (10:18/mile), 4:45 (10:52/mile), 5:00 (11:27/mile), and 6:30 (14:53/mile).

 

The pace team leaders will have a booth at the packet pick-up expo. Please stop by during the expo to meet our team of experienced pacers. A map of the start line will be posted at the pacers’ booth indicating where each pace team leader will be located race morning for the start of the event. The half marathon and marathon courses follow the same route until approximately mile 7. Runners in the half marathon are welcome to run along with the pace groups until the two courses diverge. Training

We are excited that you’re planning to run the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and Half Marathon. There are a number of great training programs that will get you ready to run at your desired pace to cross the finish line.
