We are excited to welcome you to the first Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and Half-Marathon! This inaugural event is set for November 1, 2008, and will celebrate what our wonderful city is all about – hospitality, integrity, community and fun. Our organizing team is made up of local runners, community leaders and event planners who understand both the thrill of participating in as well as witnessing an epic feat such as the completion of a full or half marathon.
The Indianapolis Monumental Marathon Course highlights a number of great buildings and features in our beautiful and convenient Indianapolis downtown including: the Indiana State Capitol, the Arts Garden, Lucas Oil Stadium, Circle Center Mall, Monument Circle, a number of federal monuments, the Cultural trail and the Mass. Ave. District. We are also happy to showcase several interesting and lovely neighborhoods including the Old Northside, Fall Creek Place, Meridian-Kessler, Butler-Tarkington and Broad Ripple.
Many people are excited about the opportunity to make November 1st a monumental day for our runners and our city. Please join us!
